Training classes for MLAs
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker, Chinthakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, has decided to conduct special training classes for newly elected MLAs to help them understand the functioning of the Assembly. With the dates for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget sessions finalized, Speaker of the Assembly, Chinthakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, has decided to conduct special training classes for newly elected MLAs. The Assembly sessions are set to begin on June 24, and the government plans to continue them for at least 20 days. However, with a large number of new members being elected this time, the government is organizing this training program to provide them with an understanding of the Assembly's activities.
The training classes will be held for two days on the 22nd and 23rd of this month at the Assembly Committee Hall. The training will cover aspects such as the functioning of the Assembly, the rights and duties of the members, and the code of conduct within the house. The government aims to ensure that discussions in the Assembly proceed in a more serious and focused manner by informing newly elected members about the legislative process.
Prominent personalities will attend the training program as special guests. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will be invited for the inaugural event. On the second day, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will attend the concluding ceremony and provide valuable advice and suggestions to the newly elected members. It is hoped that through these classes, MLAs will be better equipped to perform their duties effectively in their future legislative roles.
During the inauguration of the Assembly sessions on June 24, Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer will address both Houses. In his speech, the government will outline the programs, administrative policies, and priorities it plans to implement. Following that, a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting will be held to decide the duration of the Assembly sessions.
Through this training program, newly elected MLAs will gain a basic understanding of the rules and procedures of the Assembly.
