The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections will begin at 8 AM on Saturday. The major parties, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), are hoping to secure power in the capital. Polling for the 70 assembly seats took place on February 5, and today, the vote counting will take place. According to exit polls, it is expected that after 27 years, BJP will come to power in Delhi. BJP is predicted to surpass the majority mark of 36 seats, winning 10-15 additional seats. AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, is likely to fall behind. Analysts believe that Congress will be limited to a maximum of 0-3 seats.

According to the information released by the Election Commission (EC), the voter turnout for this election was 60.54%. The highest voting was recorded in Northeast Delhi at 66.25%, and the lowest was in Southeast Delhi at 56.40%. This time, the competition is mainly between AAP, BJP, and Congress. In the counting process, postal ballots will be counted first. These include votes from election duty personnel, service voters, and elderly and disabled people who used postal voting. Afterward, the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be unlocked, and the counting will proceed in multiple rounds.
